West Mead 2 firefighters assisted City of Meadville firefighters (Dept 16) during an early morning structure fire at 992 Grove Street, Meadville. Residents escaped without injury, but the family dog was found deceased inside. Click on the WJET-TV link below to see their coverage of the incident. WJET-TV 992 Grove St. Structure Fire March 27, 2012 West Mead 2 assisted Departments 23 and 27 this morning during a structure fire at KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) at 18838 Park Ave. Plaza in Vernon Township. Dept 29 responded with a crew of 5 firefighters on Engine 29-1 and another 4 firefighters on Engine 29-2. The fire is currently under control and departments are returning to station.(last updated 1:26pm 3/27/12) March 6, 2012 Dept 29 responded with a full assist to a late night Vernon Twp. structure fire at 18643 Williams Street. Engines 29-1, 29-2 and Brush 29-4 responded to the scene. February 22, 2012 Dept 29 assists in an early morning Vernon Twp STRUCTURE FIRE at 18283 Cussewago Rd. West Mead 2 responded with two engines (29-1 and 29-2) and 10 firefighters.

On February 5, 2012, Dept 29 assisted Dept 27 during a 3 alarm structure fire that destroyed a historical building on Pennsylvania Ave.
